Fancy features on high-end TIG welders include pulse width/frequency control, square wave technology, and adjustable pre/post gas flow times. They are unfortunately so pricey. However, these features do make a difference for the flawless weld TIG 250P from YesWelder. Is this true and worth buying? Read this YesWelder TIG 250P review to find your answer.
YesWelder TIG 250P Review: Best Features That Make It Worth Buying
YesWelder TIG 250P Review: What Makes It Stand Out?
Yes, this equipment is a TIG welder. However, that is an understatement and ignores the wide range of tasks that this welder is capable of. This is the first amazing feature of the TIG 250P that is worth mentioning in this YesWelder TIG 250P review.
It can firstly TIG under both AC and DC current. This means that aluminum can be TIG welded with this unit. Plus, you can stick weld and spot weld as needed.
You also have a lot of options for how to TIG weld because AC and DC TIG pulse welding as well as AC and DC TIG are both possible.
Square Wave Technology
The cleaning and heating phases of the weld are time-limited by the sine wave that is often used in TIG welders.
In order to provide you more time for the cleaning and heating cycles of the weld, square wave technology cuts off the top and bottom of the sine wave. This offers superior performance, is easier to use, and produces better beads, especially when welding materials like aluminum.
You can set up for a weld using this device’s single dial and a variety of blister buttons. Given the variety of parameters you can change, using the layout is rather simple after a small learning curve.
When it comes to the learning curve, we were glad to say in this YesWelder TIG 250P review that the welder’s manual was useful. The manuals included with some of Yeswelder’s products are useless. not this one though.
Almost every aspect of your weld can be controlled when you become familiar with the control panel. The 2T or 4T method, tungsten electrode diamete, ramp up and down if necessary, pulse width and frequency, pre/post gas flow timings, start and end amps, and more can all be adjusted.
Additionally, even when there is no power, the device stores your current settings in memory. As a result, the machine will save your welding settings for you if you unplug the device and go to a new job site.
5 To 250 Amps And 60% Duty Cycle At 250A
Power is frequently compromised with cheaper devices. The YesWelder TIG-250P AC/DC is an exception. You can obtain power in the range of 5A to 250A. It allows you to work with both thin and thick stock, which is impressive for an equipment of this price. This is probably the best feature of the unit in this YesWelder TIG 250P review.

This unit can be used in light- to medium-duty workshops and smaller professional welding shops, as well as by DIYers, welding enthusiasts, auto restoration, and other light- to medium-duty workshops thanks to its 250A of power and 60% duty cycle.
However, you can also descend all the way to 5A. You have the ability to handle a variety of projects and stock thicknesses with that range. On thin material, you can start as low as 5A and ramp-up to prevent blowouts at the start or end of a weld, which is another significant benefit of this power range.
2T And 4T Control
If you frequently do longer welds, the 4T control offered by the TIG-250P AC/DC is convenient. Whichever YesWelder TIG 250P review, this is a great feature.
You still have your 2T control, which you use to start and stop welding by pulling the trigger. However, 4T allows you to pull the trigger to begin your arc, let it go while you weld, and then pull and let it go once more to stop your bead.
4T appears difficult on paper. However, it does away with the requirement to maintain the trigger still for a long weld. Just when you start and stop.
High-Frequency Arc Startup
HF is typically present on leading DC TIG machines. However, it comes included with this inexpensive TIG-250P AC/DC welder. As a result, you can simply pull the trigger to start the arc after positioning the electrode tip close to the work. No finicky scratching is required.
The TIG 250P AC/DC can change your view on transporting a TIG welder if you’re used to carrying around enormous, heavy TIG welders that weigh as much as you do.
This device is compact and lightweight, weighing only 35 pounds. It is undoubtedly portable, and every YesWelder TIG 250P review appreciates this features. However keep in mind that it only uses 220V.
In addition to being portable, this device can also be powered by a generator. Other TIG welders may have trouble using generator power, but not this one.
So, you do have the choice to use a generator to work if there are no 220V outlets available.

YesWelder TIG 250P Review: What Have People Said?
Roy C.(30 year tig veteran) I have some much more expensive welders here but I think when I get the cooler and water cooled torch on it I will be even more impressed. For the cost it is well worth the money. I’ll post another review after I run it for a month or so.”

YesWelder TIG 250P review captured on their website shows positive feedback.
DGI’ve not yet tried the TIG mode so I can’t rate that large part of this welder. I have used the ARC portion and given the numerous current options available, I found it easy to use. I’m very much an amateur welder and slowly learning. This machine certainly has the capabilities most anyone would need for lighter duty projects.
Most reviews on Amazon are glowing, as you can see in this YesWelder TIG 250P review capture.
Edward D.Works like normal tig welder with pedal with more features.
You need the pedal for better control.
